On behalf of the city of Maintal, CLIMATICON GmbH is developing an integrated climate adaptation concept as a strategic basis for sustainable urban development. The aim of adaptation planning is to build on existing concepts and structures, strengthen internal administrative processes, identify nature-based and practical measures and exploit synergies with climate protection and biodiversity. The concept marks the starting point for a long-term adaptation process and is intended to support the city in effectively countering the consequences of climate change.
Modern project management approaches as well as GIS-supported analyses and visualizations are used. An interactive participation process with workshops ensures the involvement of the relevant stakeholders and the active participation of the public.
CLIMATICON GmbH is responsible for the following tasks, among others:
- Embedding the analysis results in an overall strategy
- Planning and implementation of stakeholder participation
- Creation of a catalog of measures
- Development of a continuation strategy
- Creation and implementation of a communication strategy
