In view of increasing climate risks, CLIMATICON GmbH is working with AtmoVera to develop a climate adaptation concept for the city of Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia. It is intended to lay the foundations for coordinated, precautionary action, a high quality of life, a competitive economy and a healthy environment.
In addition to the baseline assessment and vulnerability analysis, the concept includes creating a climate function map to visualize climatic functions and risks within the city. As part of a hybrid participation process involving relevant expert stakeholders as well as the public, concrete climate adaptation measures will be developed across the fields of action Economy, Civil Protection, Health & Social Affairs, Planning, Building & Infrastructure, and Water.
In order to ensure the effectiveness and long-term integration of climate adaptation measures, a controlling and continuation strategy is also being developed.
CLIMATICON GmbH is coordinating the project and is responsible in particular for the participation process and the continuation instruments.
