Participatory and socially responsible heat transition in the neighborhood<\/strong><\/p>\n

The success of the heating transition depends largely on whether a future heat supply <\/strong>in urban residential districts is socially acceptable and CO<\/strong>2<\/strong><\/sub>–neutral at<\/strong> the same time. In the W\u00c4RME4ALLE project, suitable supply and refurbishment solutions are being developed in a participatory manner with the involvement of housing associations, tenants, the planning administration and other stakeholder groups in three pilot residential districts<\/strong> in Karlsruhe, Leipzig and Bochum.<\/p>\n

The focus is on a multi-stage, hybrid participation process<\/strong> that presents solution options for discussion based on different future scenarios. The aim is to bring together the sometimes conflicting needs of tenants and the housing industry in a transparent and participatory planning process to find a solution that is ready for implementation. The results, in particular the participation methods qualified in the project, should be transferable to other neighborhoods in Germany in the future.<\/p>\n
