Herzogenrath has set itself the goal of becoming one of the first climate and environmentally neutral medium-sized cities in Germany. Together with Innovation City Management GmbH, the city is developing a climate and environmental strategy for the period up to 2030, which aims to shape the transition to a sustainable and liveable city in a socially, economically and climate-friendly way. Areas such as energy, buildings, industry and mobility are being analyzed in order to develop targeted solutions to reduce emissions.
As specialist communication agencies, CLIMATICON and tippingpoints are jointly responsible for a project-accompanying climate campaign. An integrated communication and participation concept is being created and implemented to inform and involve citizens and specialist stakeholders in Herzogenrath in a targeted manner.
CLIMATICON GmbH is responsible in particular for the development and maintenance of the project website www.herzogenrathklima.de as well as the design and management of various participation campaigns and formats.
